1. Commitment to Quality: OneLifeUSA’s commitment to
quality is exemplified by our in-house, full-service, quality
control lab, assuring our excellence in four areas: raw materials,
testing, process, and R & D.
2. Certification: Our lab is proud to be
NPA GMP-Certified. The NPA (Natural Products Association), formerly
known as the NNFA (National Nutritional Foods Association)
established its certification program in order to set and maintain
high standards for the industry. This assures healthcare
professionals, custom manufacturers, retailers, and the public that
our manufacturing processes have been thoroughly inspected by a
third party auditor.
The certification
program requires us to open every part of our facility for a
comprehensive inspection; every section involved in manufacturing,
packaging, testing, and distribution of dietary supplements must
comply with their standards. This includes personnel, plant and
grounds, sanitation, equipment, quality operations, production and
process controls, as well as the warehouse, distribution, and
post-distribution practices. Auditors must have expertise in food or
pharmaceutical GMPs and are specially trained to conduct the NPA
audits. Typically, they are longtime veterans of either the industry
or the FDA. Because we attained the “A” rating for compliance, we
were eligible to apply for full GMP certification, which we were
awarded. For years, our manufacturing facility has made consistent
quality our priority. This GMP Certification is further endorsement
of our quality, facility, and practices.
3. Raw Materials: Quality begins with carefully
selected and analyzed raw materials. We pre-qualify all of our raw
materials suppliers: investigating and auditing their facilities,
processes, and standards. With our many years of experience in the
industry, we have long-term relationships with the best growers and
manufacturers.
Every ingredient
must have a certificate of analysis, is quarantined upon arrival at
our facilities, and undergoes rigorous inspection before use.
4. Testing: We have state-of-the-art equipment, and
our in-house testing capabilities include:
• Raw material identification by IR spectroscopy.
• Microbiological screening for TPC, Coliform, E.coli,
Enterobacteriase, Yeast, and Mold.
• Assay verification by High Performance Liquid Chromotography (HPLC)
and UV-Vis spectroscopy.
• Mineral and metal analysis by AA.
• Testing for tablet disintegration, shelf-life stability,
fill-weight, and hardness.
• Botanical identification by TLC (added during 2007) to ensure
product potency.
• Third parties are used for pesticide and heavy metals analysis and
for confirmation of critical or questionable results.
5. Process: Our stringent quality control process
closely monitors production from raw materials to finished product.
Our Littleford blender is renowned for blending material uniformly;
with follow-up analysis to verify that potency is accurate, tablet
to tablet, capsule to capsule. Products are tested and inspected
during manufacturing, and every finished capsule and tablet is
visually inspected, with accuracy confirmed during a final analysis
by the Quality Control Lab.
6. Research and Development: We bring decades of formulating experience to each product, while evaluating the appropriateness of each combination of ingredients. Working closely with physicians over the years, we have a wealth of knowledge about nutritional and botanical ingredients that result in specialty products with effectiveness.
Our dedication
to quality is evident: Accept nothing less.
